Enjoy our "grand experiences" while exploring the Grand River Valley... 

 

The Star Gazers Drift ... learn the constellations while you paddle at night or enjoy a full moon paddle on the Grand River. 

 

The Night Safari ... this is a night of calling to coyotes... calling in owls... and a stakeout to draw in the moth beauties of the night with a local naturalist.

 

Insect and Butterfly Hiking Classroom... if wishing to do a hike where you learn about the insects around you... then an adventure with this instructor is the person you are looking for.

 

Algonquin Canoe Trip Planning School ... this is a 5 hr course preparing people for doing wilderness canoe tripping. The course covers canoeing, portaging, map reading & planning, how to pack & foods, setting up camp and emergency smarts.

 

The Iroquoian Experience ... this is the opportunity to interact with Iroquoian speakers on tradition, culture and history... we can even offer group dancing.

 

The Painter's Drift... this is a floating classroom experience for those interested in painting landscapes within the Grand Valley with artist/instructor Jeanette Obbink.

 

Fly Fishing School for Beginners ... learn the art of flyfishing, it is easier then you think... 6 hour instruction course.

 

Spey Casting School for Beginners... learn how to spey cast both single and double handed. This is an 8 hour course

 

Butterfly Safari ... this is an outdoor classroom experience where groups learn about butterflies, beetles and other insects they come across. Studying under an entomologist is something few people can do.

 

Learn How to Canoe & Kayak ... this is a common sense instructional course where you learn how to paddle while doing a guided trip down the river.


The purpose of these learning adventures is to introduce interested groups to people with knowledge. We are always looking for other unique interests which we can share with our customer base.
