With the stand up paddleboard, you see the river from a different perspective. Allows you to read the water better and just see more things around you.
When paddling through fast water, it is best to kneel on the board to lower your center of gravity.
Some beginners start out with what we call the “rubber chicken legs”… where their legs seem to wobble and shake. But as they get confident… that disappears.
The SUP boards are not racing boards, these sups are designed for river paddling. Thus, we use a wider then normal width to ensure extra stability for beginner paddlers.
So if looking for something different… try a stand up paddleboard trip on the Grand… it is not that hard!
