This is our local "WEATHER ALERT" advisory for paddling trips.

When it comes to predicting “bad weather”, weather apps are accurate about 2 hours out… not two days out.

After 19 years of forecasting, we have not found a trusted app that can accurately predict “bad weather” even 24 hours out.

Weather apps don’t care what they say, because they are not accountable… unfortunately their information is conjecture, not fact.

We are very good at forecasting in the specific areas we operate in… we want you to enjoy your trip… not endure!

So trust us!

Big Creek Weather Near Long Point

Please Note that Big Creek is a slow moving river, you will have to paddle and navigate your way around trees. Even with slow moving water… when going through trees in the river… always get your self aligned in advance… never wait until last minute to get in position.

Good To Go 

If we state weather is “Good To Go“… there is no weather cancellations, you are expected to be there at 20 minutes before your selected time.

Please remember:

  1. To bring your reservation
  2. Your driving instructions are at the bottom of your reservation… do not google our company name for directions, because we have several locations.
  3. Plan on arriving 20 minutes before your start time.

Possible Inclement Weather

If we state “Possible Inclement Weather“, you have four choices.  You can:

  1. You can still come at your chosen date and time.
  2. Or email us that you will be coming, but would like to change your arrival time around the weather.
  3. Or email us that you will keep your reservation active, but will be choosing another date.
  4. Or email us that you will be cancelling your reservation and requesting a full refund.

If not coming because we have stated on this webpage inclement or unsafe weather … you must let us know your decision the day of our weather notice!

Please email us on the day of your trip with your decision… and please include your reservation number, your name and trip.

Please do not call the office.

Unsafe Weather

If we state “Unsafe Weather“, you have two choices. You can:

  1. Email us that you will keep the reservation active, but will be choosing another date.
  2. Email us that you will be cancelling your reservation and requesting a full refund.
