Trip Description
Big Creek offers the chance of spotting a Bald Eagle as you paddle through a forest.
This meandering river is different from any other river in Ontario.
Big Creek is narrow and deep, with trees overhanging… and truly fits the description “The Canadian Amazon”.
This mild-current river offers 9kms of paddling.
Big Creek is located near Lake Erie by Long Point… about a 2-2.5 hour drive from Toronto.
This route skill-level is beginner to experienced. Because of the slow current on the river… paddling effort is required.
This experience takes about 4-5 hours.
Number of People: Minimum of 2 people
Suggested Ages: 10 years and up.
Suggested Weight: Around 250 lbs.
Pets: This trip is not pet friendly.
How It Works: Park at the start… and then you are shuttled back to your vehicle at the end.

Cancellation & Weather Policies
Long Point Eco Adventure Cancellation Policy states that there are no refunds for any cancellations or re-bookings made within 72 hours of your tour.
In the case of inclement weather, Long Point Eco-Adventures may have to cancel your tour; as a result, your tour cost will then be transferred into a ‘rain check credit’ that can be redeemed at a later date.
Examples of inclement weather include, but are not limited to: Torrential Downpour . Thunder Storms . High Winds . Extreme temperatures
What To Bring
- Good sunscreen, hat, sun glasses, retainer string for eye glasses, water & snacks, gloves if hands blister easily, lip balm and zip-locks for your cell phone.
- Bring insect repellant because you are paddling under a canopy of trees.
- Bring footwear you don’t mind getting wet.
- If you burn easy… long sleeves and pants… otherwise swim suits or clothes that dry quickly. Denim jeans are not a good idea… they stay wet forever!
